Over at the WHU, we feel for the plight of our wee homeless bum neighbors, the gnomes. They destroyed their homeland in a fit of gnomishness, and so we let them freeload in our city. Mostly though, we feel bad that they’re the only race in all of WoW that can’t be hunters — surely that must hurt even more than their pointless wee size.
So I dedicate the WHU hunter event of this past weekend to our freeloading gnomish buddies. In honor of them, the WHU Guild presents the Gnomish Hunter Swarm across Northrend — destroying Thyrm the Hope Ender and then marching on to butcher the Ampitheter of Anguish event.
Some day little guys, this could even be for real. Until then though, go get me another ale if you know what’s good for ya!

After we finished the event and did a bit of partying, we officially raised the level cap of the WHU — the new level cap is now level 65!
Oh yeah… we’re closing in on the 25-man all hunter raid!

As most of us cheer for the underdog, I wish them better fortunes. A gnome hunter is the only thing that would make me race change!

Hey, just like they did arrangements for worgens to be their mount, they should make Gnome hunters and use their pet as a mount to move around.
My guess is changing some files somewhere on the PC doing the video. There have been other videos done like that, using impossible pets or characters.
Even so… LOVED IT! I mentioned a while back that the gnome was the only one that couldn’t be a hunter. I mean, c’mon, a goblin hunter?!? But no Gnome? That aint fair! I’d roll one right away!
As for the idea that the gnome would get to use his pet as a mount, 5 STARS *****!
I have the Wintersaber mount, and tamed one of them as well. Its one of the only mounts that you ride bare back as far as I know. So when i use it as a mount, i looks like I’m riding my pet.
Oh, one more thing, unrelated to Gnomes…
Got both my T5 pcs today! Took pretty much ALL DAY to do it.
I never Did TK before (for the Shoulders), and the Void Reaver was EASY. Just the trash around him was almost too much. Pet kept getting knocked into another bunch of mobs, and then maybe knocked into the boss.
Got a guildie come and help me out. Then we went and did Al’ar(sp?). Took us 4 wipes to figure it out, no mount drop though.
Then after lunch I was soloing SSC for the gloves. My mojo was real bad, or because I was so excited at getting the shoulders, I couldn’t complete the boss. I did it once before, with the help of a druid guildie for heals, but the gloves didn’t drop for hunter, got all druid drops on that day.
Then today, wipe after wipe until I asked a Holy Paladin in the guild for a hand, and it was so simple.
I’m stoked. They heal the pet real nice, and those shoulders look good. To me they do anyway, I’ve never seen them before now. Nice little Tesla Coil effect coming off once in a while.

The phoenix mount actually drops from Kael’thas, not Alar himself. So, don’t bother with him next time.
Well, I’ll be a son of an angry drunk dwarf…. I was sure I read that was one of its drops. Well, we had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks for the info.
