Last week’s beta build had no working shot rotations, with the focus cost of so many things — especially arcane shot — being bugged. Thus there wasn’t a whole lot of testing that could be done. So instead I passed what time I had (when I wasn’t in the woods, that is) gathering up every ferocity pet in the game into my stable. This way when the pet design pass was complete, I could just pull them all out and see what their new abilities were.
This was particularly difficult since call stabled pet still wasn’t working, so I had to return to a stable master after taming each pet.
So of course, this week they wipe out all of the pets. Fer cryin’ out loud.
But now that shot rotations are working (supposedly even for BM!) I’m going to get movies put together of the shot rotations for each spec with the current build. With any luck I’ll get them all done over the weekend, and have them all for you at the beginning of next week. I’m going to start with MM, then hit SV, then BM. So please don’t complain to me about your favorite spec not being up — I’m going to get to them all! And MM has to be redone because the rotations have all changed with arcane shot’s cost changing.
As an interesting side note, right now it looks like arcane shot is slightly more damage/focus than chimera. Of course chimera refreshes serpent sting, so it still comes out better than arcane — but on mobs that will die really fast, you’d not only skip serpent, but also chimera shot. At least for this particular instant of the beta.
Interesting. I thought Arcane was going to be a lot weaker than that when I saw the nerf on MMOC…..
And that sucks that they wiped all your pets. Rage mode ACTIVATE!
