Those of you newer to the WHU may not be familiar with Quadilious, and the meaning of the phrase WWQD. If not, you should read the My New Hero post from last year.
I tend to use the horde bank when I’m in Dalaran, because it’s closer to the engineering auction house, and usually when I’m going bank stuff I’m going back and forth between there and the AC. Well one day a few months back I noticed someone waving to me, and I was shocked to see it was a horde character, Quadilious! He had apparently transferred to my server for a new raid team… but foolishly to the horde side, a decision I’ve no doubt he’ll regret before his days are done.
But that’s neither here nor there. I recently got an email from Quadilious showing me some of the videos that he’s got going up, including a video of his gameplay in action. You can see his keyboard and mouse-like-thingy setup as he plays, with the in-game action as picture in picture. It’s kinda fascinating to watch, and as always make me feel inadequate. I only wish we could see this in a more movement-heavy fight, though that would probably just drop my self-esteem further : )

….. Well, it does…., at the very least, put me at ease with my change from keyboard turner all those months back. I would have feel rather silly putting forward my old excuse of “playing on a laptop – using mouse pad – etc – after seen this video. I still suck at it, it seems…

It was a post from Quadilious on wow.com (and mentioned WHU, which I hadn’t previously known about) that set me on the road from huntard noobery to …. well, let’s just say I’m still on that road.

Haha, I saw Quad on Icecrown a few months ago gave him a /wave and /salute even if he is a dirty hordie.
Maybe there is something to learn here, out of necessity he doesn’t move his toon much. Thus giving him more time to focus on shots.

As a parent of a special needs child, this is just one more AMAZING example of what we “average” folks all too often miss.

Again we see how a bunch of pixels is able to cross boundaries, tear down walls, and allow a measure of enjoyment which would otherwise be lost in a WoW-less world.

I seriously got goosebumps just like when I first heard his story and he was on the show. EVERYONE needs to know about this guy. He is the example all hunters should go by. I would say this epic but it just doesn’t feel like that’s a strong enough word. You’re a beast Quad, an inspiration and one helluva hunna!

I’m going to be making another Video soon (this week I hope) and I’m curious what encounter you’d like to see. We’re working Heroics in ICC 25 and RS 25 this week so post away with your suggestions. I originally chose Festergut because between the fight and learning to manage my recording stuff, it was the easiest to do. I’ve got it setup now for any fight.
@Hulder, he doesn’t deserve an awesomesauce shirt. He is awesomesauce and doesn’t need to proclaim it, if anything a quadilious shirt should be made(hint hint people with much better artistic skills than me).

The QQers(ie the one button macro hunters that should just stick to playing their ret pally, starlawl boomkin, or DK) should learn from you. Keep your mark up and bodies left in your wake

all i can say is respect to you mate.
one of my former guildies was a 60 year old person with a hearing and speaking dissability. he was also in a wheelchair because of a traffic accident he had 20 years ago.
all i can say is: i have learned from him what ( please forgive me if offended) disabeled people can do.
he was one of the most determined guys i ever saw on the game.
and although i didnt know about this while leveling up, he told me when we both reached 70. man, that guy could really ask me some question i never thought about, making me go read up for him….
unfortunatly, he is currently in hospital for medical care, and have not been able to talk to him coz of that…
but oh my, im sure he would feel proud to see your vids mate…

Great video Quadrilious, I’m Quadriplegic too and tank as well as being a hunter. It amazes me how the human spirit will find a way to over come challenges like playing WOW, but we do ;o)

Great video. His site is great as well. I am amazed at his ability to play better than most of us that have full use of our hands. I recently learned that there were deaf players that did arena and made it to gladiator. I was amazed that this could be done without the ability to talk to your arena partner. Most of us can barely get over 1100 rating and we can talk with our partners.
