Amidst all the beta craziness I have been lax in getting the second episode of Wipe Recovery cut together, but here it is! Our Raid Leadership Roles episode briefly goes over the main roles that you need in your raid: raid leader, loot master, healing captain, dps captain. We also talk a bit about Cataclysm changes.

As always we have viciously stolen some wow parody music without permission. For opening we have I Keep Falling in Lava (don’t remember where I found it back in the day, and I can’t find it again) and again at the closing we have Ninja Raiders.

We were unable to record ep 3 (Loot Systems) due to a convergence of insanity, and will be recording it this Sunday.

You can download Episode 2 here: Wipe Recovery Podcast Episode 2

As always, you can email your questions (and loot drama stories) to Wipe Recovery.

One of these days I’m going to get around to looking into podcast feeds and itunes stuff, but not today.

Could just be my setup, but you and Hrist were audible but dawn I could not hear at all unless I cranked up the speakers..which would then burst my eardrums as you or Hrist would start talking again.

Listening to a podcast with my hand on the volume knob of my speakers = not fun. So I didn’t listen beyond the first four minutes. :(

I wonder if this is the song you were looking for:

  3. Frostheim says:

    Yup, that was it.

I know there were volume issues with Dawn’s soft voice vs our manly ones. Next time we’re going to try something different with the master recording that will helpfully compensate.

  4. Noiros says:

Awesome podcast again. All three of you have very different personalities and I love how they mix together. Also looking forward to whatever secret it is you have in store for us.

  5. Baiin says:

Are these episodes gonna be going onto iTunes at any point?

  6. tijger says:

heroism points will works as honer points so 10% is nice

  7. Zep says:

Hey Frost, if you guys can set it up as a separate RSS feed either here or on huntingpartypodcast.com, it will be a little easier for everyone to make sure we download every episode.

  8. Corwyn says:

    Nice information.

If I could make a suggestion, WoW is overfilled with people who will happily tell you that you are ‘doing it wrong’. I would find more useful, a discussion of strengths and weaknesses, and situations and areas where one option might work better than another. Your talk of raid leader splits is fine as an example of how _you_ do it. Without evidence, it certainly isn’t how it must be done (which is how it came across)

p.s. With Dawn’s soft voice, picking on her comes across more as bullying than comradeship.

  9. Alisaunder says:

… Hrist constantly surprises me in these. I wasnt expecting relationship advice from him and er um, yeah. I dont even know what to say about that topic. It feels true though. Luckily WHU is the best kind of family. My raid seems to have an additional member though, the Lore Leader, who explains who the boss is, why we are killing him/her/it, and fills in interesting factoids now and then.

  10. AFK Rogue says:

Lore stuff is usualy my job since I’ve played the entire Warcraft Series but as its normaly just given during breaks its not a part of the raiding itself

  11. Yorigrim says:

    You forgot Cheerleader. :D
