Many a time our raid leader has told me he’s going to send somebody my way for advice. I do what I can to prepare ahead of time – go through raid parses, study the spec, look at their gear and glyphs, and put together a short report to give the person once they come a-knockin’ with their questions.
Only two have ever actually asked me for help. Of those two, only one listened (and she fared so much better for it). The other one shrugged off my advice with, “What do you know, you’re just a girl anyway.”

Listening is a skill, just like being an uncommonly good-looking hunter. Not a lot of people have it when they ask you a question, they just want you to confirm what they want to hear.
Think about it. How much time do you spend listening and how much time do you spend thinking about what you’ll say next…
Oh, and the shortest dress is always the best, unless she’s really ugly.

Very funny Frost, although, I’m never really afraid to tell my g/f what I think looks best on her. I just tell her the opposite of what I really think, and Bam! she wear what I want every time.

Thats funny Frost, my fiance has given me personal permission to FD anytime she inadvertently asks those types of questions (no really).
As for raiding BM… we took our first one into Heroic ICC 25 on Wednesday. She puts out almost 9.6k dps in the first 3 fights on heroic. My raid leader is letting the new app “trial” as BM for now but has some misgivings. She is not the lowest dps atm but seems to be the stick to bludgeon some of the goofs with even lower dps.
Poor Frost. If it matters at all, I trust the stuff you say. It helped me out a lot on my hunter. (Sadly, my main is a DK…) Never the less, your advice is truly invaluable to any Hunter player, casual or hardcore.
I found this one extra funny and the best yet , just had all these flash backs from the last month or so from all the posts Frost had been putting up and off course one of the biggest that sticks out there was the ( BM Spec good enough to raid debate ) which caused havoc within the hunter ranks and also another favourite of mine is the tanking gun debate these 2 topics really got some coverage . Well done , Awsome and I take my hat off to ya greatest comic yet.

You mention something there I found interesting and see often and wonder where it comes from. “But I read it was 9%”. I read every hunter site everywhere I can find one. All of them, even the horrible ones, say 8% and yet you still get people come out with “I read it was… “. Where do these people get their info?
I recently had to get my guild leader to step in when a hunter came to me for advice with gemming ArP and I told him he was not ready yet.
I was sitting at 550 passive when he asked me and I said to him. I have not started gemming yet, so you definitely shouldn’t being you have 200 less then me and no proc trinkets for it. So what does he do. He goes and regems everything. His DPS drops like a rock and he comes to me asking advice as to why. I say, because you gemmed ArP way to soon. He says to me, that is the last time I come to you for advice, you keep telling me not to gem ArP and every hunter site says I should.
Told the guild leader to tell him to change back or he would not be invited to the raids any more. So he quit the guild. Guess he was right and I was wrong. He showed me.

After 11 years I have just started being completely honest with my wife about THAT question. “I don’t know. Go and put them on and I will check you out – if you look bad I am never going to think so because I think you are a very sexy women; if I do think so I’m never going to say so because I’m not stupid and furthermore if it was down to me, I would just keep you in the nude locked in the bedroom”
She hasn’t asked me again.
@TheGrumpyElf The 9% hit thing was a big deal in the first 6 months or so of Wrath. Back in BC 9% was the hit cap. And there were (and are) tons and tons and tons of websites out there that haven’t been updated at all since BC. Wowwiki, for a very long time had the wrong info on the cap. So if someone did a google search on the hunter hit cap, there were good odds it would lead to the wrong answer.
Of course this was before the WHU dominated hunter goolge searches
For whatever reason, there seems to have been a massive die-off in bloggers at the end of BC. For a while there it seemed like half the wow blogs on the internet had died in the last 6 months of BC and were just sitting there, rotting.
Do you think there will be a die off this time waiting for Cata? I know alot of news based podcasts are getting pretty desperate some weeks.
