In this show (from about a week ago), we talk a little bit about the mastery system coming up, wolves position as the #1 DPS pet, shot priorities, consumables, debuffs, and trinkets.

What are your thoughts on “Vengeful Noose” leather belt sold by ICC vendors for 60 frost? Checking Zeherah’s armory, I can see that he/she got one recently. It seems like a good option for MM hunters who are planning to hardcap armor penetration. Can it be a replacement to Nerub’ar Stalker’s Cord?
@ Odrob Yes, yes it can

I just got around to listening to this today, but here’s something I noticed…
For the last question, and hard-capping ArP hunter asks about what to put in a last gem slot when he is sitting at 1385 ArP already. Frostheim suggested he use the gem slot for something else and eats +40 ArP food. That would bring him to 1425 ArP rating (not 1405 as was calculated in the show). The gem slot is a yellow +4 agility bonus, so the net gain from gem and food is: 15 ArP, 14 agility, 10 crit.
If he gems for +20 ArP, that would put him at 1405 and leave his food buff open for 40 useful points in agility instead. The net gain from gem and food would be: 15 ArP, 40 agility. Clearly superior.
Just thought I’d point that out, since it seems Frostheim made a small error doing the math in his head. It’s OK though, because the good-looking kids are never the ones that are good at math anyway.
HI.
You commented again in this show (I think. I just listened to 3) that Eyes of the Beast is a useless skill that you wouldn’t mind seeing go the way of the Dodo in Cataclysm. I disagree heartily. It allows hunters to use their pet like an Eye of Kilrogg. I use this skill frequently while soloing to look for rare spawn bosses and quest items. This is only use with my cat of course, who can prowl, but it’s very helpful. I do this in instances as well with my usual group of friends, as we have no warlock, rogue or druid.
Tibbel — I think I must have said something wrong — the idea was that if he’s at 1385, he should pull back to 1365 and eat ArP food. Thus he can use those gems slots for whatever, and get socket bonuses.
Hey Frostheim,
Few comments on the show. The first one is regarding the professions. You concluded that JC and BS were superior professions because of this ability to gem specific stats rather then spell power/attack power/stamina. This is especially true for any hunter that is gemming ArP. I was suprised this wasn’t mentioned when the topic was brought up. These are the only two professions that will help you get closer to the hard cap (soft cap too, but I guess you should be able to do that without these professions).
Secondly I would like to correct you on the fact that hunters can benefit from warlocks, unlike mentioned during the show there’s three things I can think of from the top of my head. First of all there’s the Felhunter pet which will give a int (and spirit) buff (doesn’t stack with Arcane Intellect though), which means more attack power. The other two are Curse of the Elements and Curse of Weakness. The latter one however you won’t see very often and armor debuff part doesn’t stack with a Wasp’s Sting or Faerie Fire.
