ThinkGeek Cool Spy stuff

This is another live show where Darkbrew and I talk about patch 3.3.3 and the twitter dev chat, take questions from the room, and talk about trinkets and procs.

Every show we do from now on will be live, and released on iTunes after it’s been cut together. Here’s the site where we host our shows.

As always, here is the iTunes store link, the Hunting Party Podcast feed, and the direct XML feed. If you email us comments or questions, we’ll read them on the next show. 2. Daginn_Ysera says:

Pfft level a lvl 15 pet. Try leveling a Broken Tooth and having it nerfed a week later. Still have nightmares about it.

I’ve only ever been asked to pop Aspect of the Wild if we’re having difficulty in a fight heavy in nature damage, such as our first week against Rotface. But from a lore perspective, the effect of Aspect of the Wild would make more sense as an aura from a tree-hugging Druid, am I right?

  4. Bloodshine says:

LOL I gem Strength. That made my day.

  5. Darkgrif says:

I think you guys missed the recent GC clear up on the WoW DD forums. It stated that it not only increases steady by 9% but Arcane as well still. But still trying to get through the pod cast. May edit or post again after

  6. Frostheim says:

Nope, we hit that in our most recent podcast — this is the podcast from two weeks ago :)

Great podcast guys. I’d like to make a note about your comments re: ammo. Blue has already weighed in about ammo providing different types of damage saying that it would be too complicated and not really provide much of a benefit and I agree with that. On the other hand I think Blizz would be missing out on an opportunity in making ammo just a “stat stick”.

I think (hope) ammo will end up more like Relics (Librams/Totems/Idols). It makes sense to me mainly because they already have an existing loot model. By that I mean the game is already geared up to distribute Relics as drops, purchased for badges, etc. so fitting Ammo into this existing model will be very simple.

Looking through the list of Relics on WoWHead, under this model Ammo could provide a wide range of abilities: + damage to shots or chance to proc + stats. It could even bring back old and beloved set bonuses. Basically anything Blizz can think of.

However, if Ammo becomes the next Relic type I think this will have an interesting side effect. It seems to me that while adding one additional relic type (Ammo) is relatively easy; I think adding two (Bullets and Arrows) would make things more complicated. So it would not surprise me if the distinction is removed under the new Ammo system.
