Having dealt with the goth boys and girls in the Crimson Halls, it’s time to move on to the big leagues and start playing with dragons. The Frostwing Halls of ICC bring us some fun fights uniquely suited to the hunter skill set. After all, where other classes see big scary dragons, we see potential pets. It’s not enough to warrant using Beast Mastery I bet, but Beast Masters add another 20% healing through Spirit Bond correct?

  2. Snoggi says:

    Sorry, that’d be 10%.

  3. Myrdreon says:

I think its especially against going BM. Your pet is doing nothing so guarantee the healing bonus (you put it on stay) so you might get a bit more healing but at the same time nearly half your damage output.

I havn´t confirmed it myself. But it appears the +healing on pets doesn´t work anymore.

A pala in my guild told me and they seem to confirm that it´s changed on EJ in the, Pala-thread i tried to dig into.

A bit sad, was a fun trick. But it´s probably better to keep the wolf here nowadays.

Mangwold, one person mentions that it didn’t work for them on EJ pally thread however, everyone else says that it works. I don’t believe your friend read far enough down into the newer posts.

Now if I’m getting my numbers right. Since the BoL gets 100% of the Healing Recieved and the Tenacity pet with 2 points in BotR increases all Healing Effects by 40%. Then that means that if a Holy Pally using their biggest heal, Holy Light, crits for 90K on your pet that means that Dreamwalker gets 90K also, which means that the Pally actually only hit your pet for 54K and your pet added 36K to the Max Heal. Then on top of that Glyph of Holy Light heals 10% of Holy Light up to 5 party members within in 8 yard Radius. So, that means Dreamwalker also got a heal for 9K from the Glyph off the pet. Resulting in a 99K Heal!!!

  6. Oyless says:

Did I get the numbers right or did I screw up? When it shows the heal on the pet is it the intial heal or the resulting heal? This is where I’m a little unsure but I’m sure someone here understands. Please Clarify for me!

I can attest that this trick still works. Our guild blazed through the encounter last night in record time on 10-man with the help of the splash heals from my pet. Thanks for the post Frost! It helped us out tremendously and demonstrates yet another facet of the utility our class can bring to the party!

just downed her for the first time, and I can confirm that blood of the rhino with the glyph trick works!

Ok, we tried this strat the other night, and our Pally healer was gushing about how awesome it was. Problem is, my pet wouldn’t stay put. I took all pet commands out of macros, put on stay, passisve, turned all autocast abilities off — did everything I could to turn him into a paperweight. After all this I still caught him sneaking out and bashing on mobs. At first it was a curiosity, and it didn’t bother me because he would run back to his spot. Then the healer says “Pat, where’s the monkey? I’m trying to heal him and he’s not there!”

random thought: now that we have a pet healing strat, it would be nice to be able to ask “hey boss, soulstone my pet?”
