It was a great read, Frost. While our class has come a long way, I certainly enjoy some of the improvements of being a hunter of old.

I started playing just after BC came out so I can’t go waaay back. Still a great read though.
I affectionately refer to DKs as Death Tards and thank them almost everyday for dispelling the huntard myth, or at least covering it up.
It’s funny that new people think the term huntard is a cute term of endearment coined for hunters far and wide. Most haven’t a clue how bad hunters used to be. At least DKs aren’t expected to chain CC and kite on pulls. Heroics are so easy now-a-days that my undergeared druid tank, more often than not, out DPSes an entire heoric run. That makes the Death Tard tardom not nearly as glaring as the ol’ huntards of yore.

I started playing right after BC came out. People called me a “huntard” and I had no idea what it meant, I just shrugged it off and continued to play and learn my character. Its very difficult to level when you are on Dial-Up but right after I hit 70 I was finally able to get High-Speed at my house. Anyway, I started going to into instances finally and started seeing how a hunter was suppose to be used in CC which I didn’t know, I was just trying to stay alive. Luckily for me, my Dial-Up connection and extreme lag prepared me for freezing, frosting, running, jump shooting, Feign Death, etc. when you don’t know where the mob is going to be 10 secs or more after you press a button you start to learn ways to slow them down and stay alive.
I wish I could get to WoW.com from this location, its blocked, guess I’ll have to wait till I get home to post over there.

if you dont have any thing good to say on here about hunters shut up? Us hunters have to here you crap in the game but your so messed up that you have to come on are site and talk shit get a life play the game and keep your mouth shut.
@Remerson: What are you talking about? Noone on here said anything bad about hunters. If by chance you were referring to me, let me explain. I was talking about Frost’s wow.com article. I didn’t know that most gold farmers used to be hunters, so it’s likely they’ve kept ammo prices around for so long as a countermeasure.
