We recorded this Podcast some time ago, and I don’t actually remember what we talked about. If Euripides is to be believed, we discussed the crit cap, the hunter song, and some email stuff (and we’ve been getting a lot of email lately).
But don’t take his word for it, don’t even take mine, listen for yourself and let me know what on the podcast was worth listening to, and what should have been removed!
As always, here is the iTunes store link, the Hunting Party Podcast feed, and the direct XML feed. If you email us comments or questions, we’ll read them on the next show. Send an email to [email protected] Also, we love iTunes reviews. Every time you neglect to leave us an iTunes review, a feral druid beats a hunter on the DPS meters!

Ha! Another great podcast. I see you’re already ruminating on hunter tanking in ICC. I’m doing what I can to make it happen, but they might still hit too hard currently. Still, that hunter madness raid idea is awesomesauce!
Nice tidbit hidden in there about the free Lock ‘n Load proc not tripping the Black Arrow proc.
“It’s a hammer, you’re supposed to pound nails with it. People grab it and, like, whack themselves in the nuts.” -Frostheim, regarding the improper use of gear scoring sites and addons
To weigh in on the most common mistake made by fresh 80′s, there are so many…
…an inability to take criticism. I’m still learning all the time (see above, the LnL proc, not the smashing nuts part).
…a seeming unwillingness to enchant and gem all of their gear
…failure to rearrange their shot priority, even over hit rating or spec. There’s nothing worse than looking at a log parse of a Survival Hunter and seeing, “Explosive Shot > Arcane Shot > Explosive Shot.”
…mis-stacking hit rating, often either going way, way over the hit cap for the encounter (wasting itemization) or drastically under
…unwillingness to consider alternative specs
…an inability to move out of AoE
The rhino’s special is stampede:

25% increase to bleed damage
Such an amazing idea but it wont work, pets always hit from behind unless they have aggro, so you would never make it past a boss like marrowgar, sucks but if only blizz would give us the option to select where to attack from it would be so useful.
The idea is all hunters for *dps* — still have actual tanks and healers

Chance/Frost – Pah! That many MD’s means that a pet could easily have top aggro on Marrowgar, or anyone else for that manner.
What’s the song at the end called?
I be totally down for an all Hunter DPS raid. That sounds epic as hell.
