One thing that might help would be to add jokes to the strip. Unconventional I know, but at the least it might help me feel less embarrassed for the writer when I read this.

I find its always the pug that your unfortunate enough to that night. ‘reminding’ you of things that are second nature to you by now then waving their pompoms when the boss goes down smoothly, (followed by in guild recount and a /sigh when we realise we are carrying them).
I found this extremely funny, I guess we dont really have a cheerleader in our guild its more a team effort to brighten up peoples spirits , but you always hear the roars after we down a new boss.
i like the cheerleaders, sometimes they’re the only1 that keeps every1 in the group from leaving which i hate
