For your holiday listening pleasure, we present episode 18 of the Hunting Party Podcast. Euripides was out sick, but Darkbrew and I went hardcore and recorded the episode uncut (so all of our mistakes and awkward pauses are still in there).
We talk about the latest hunter news, ammo shenanigans, the sad state of ranged weapons in ICC, how other people’s performance affects your dps, and we keep up on reader email. Oh, and producer Michael put the “I’m a Hunter” song in as the intro music, only he used the entire song. In the future it will only be a short excerpt – but do you guys think we should keep the old music, or stick with a short slice of this song?

Re the music, my vote would be to use them both. Use the old music for the intro(and share what it is, ’cause I like it
) and the new song as the show outro.

i personally hated the old music (sorry ><) but i lold when i realized the entire hunter song was the intro to this webcast. id vote short part of the hunter song.

I think the song was a decent length I don’t think you could find a good excerpt that would be natural cept maybe right before the part where all the bosses names are. Also Hrist should def make an appearance, I’d like to hear the madness from the source. Not to mention my main is a prot warrior

No preference on the song, but I LOVED the outtakes during the ending song. I’d vote for a full Hunter song as the ending, if only to hear more of those.

Just like most others, love the outtakes, maybe have the music a bit quieter than that at the end if you decide to keep it that way, some of the outtakes wasn’t so clear but hell, its outtakes, they’ve not suppose to sound brill, thats the point.
And obviously, thank you, very entertaining.

By the way, i cant actually remember if i heard it correctly but did you actually say that if your not BM spec you wont have ‘Heart of the Phoenix’ as a MM, as i do. I may have mis-heard it as i was in HoR HC at the time and typing in channel.

I vote for a short slice of the new Hunter Song; maybe the “xStalker” section and fade-in to the dialogue.
There are a couple benefits to having a raiding BM off-spec depending on your raid composition, particularly if you don’t have a warrior or rogue for sunder/expose armor (Acid Spit – Worm) or are missing an arcane mage or ret pally for their Ferocious Inspiration equivalents. These are situational, though, and Frost is right: BM is a less desirable primary raiding spec for progression raiders in 3.3.
Oh, and BM is certainly viable – if not outright awesome – for PvP.

As always, this was a great show, one of the best cause the Uncut Un Un Uncut, with all the awkward pauses.
And really, u should find a way to make a live show, i swear sometimes i almost click on the mouse button (the one that enables me to talk on vent) to talk while i listen to the show, one of the times was when u were talking about the gunship fight in icc and the pet experience in there, i almost shouted (hey, that happened to me, he was on the enemy boat when we destroyed it and going down, and he was still there looking to me with that poor eyes like “hey, dun let me go down with the ship, nooooo”)
