I was dealing death in Arathi Basin the other day, and while defending the flag I was obliterating an annoying paladin when I noticed something very strange:

Here’s a closer look at what shocked me:

Is it possible that there’s another Hatorade in the world? And how can he be rage-filled when he doesn’t even have rage? Is this some kind of Hrist impostor?
In other Hrist news, our beloved Cheerleader recently gave in to the dark side while on her alt an launched a stream of bitter hatred in the MNK chat channel. Hrist was pleased.

Incidentally, I continue to get requests every now and then for Hrist to make a tanking blog similar to the WHU. He continues to resist, insisting that other sites do it better and he wouldn’t say anything different from them anyway. In particular Hrist endorses Tankspot. However, even after the endorsement many people say they find it difficult to find information there and they’d rather see a Hrist point of view.
Since it’s unlikely that Hrist will ever share his vast hate-filled knowledge, I figure I’ll try to toss in the occasional tip when I can pry it loose from him. Here’s a little tidbit of Hrist wisdom that should help you on your way:

I don’t know about everyone else, but I wouldn’t be reading a Hrist tanking blog for tanking tips like where to best position Twins, or how to manage taunt cooldowns. I would be reading it for tips like “How to chain pull like a madman and drive your healer insane” and “How to ensure Frost dies.”
I wanna know how the F to kill a Pally ???
Oh my:D i wish i could take credit for being praised by Hrist.. but alas.. he was actually praising our beloved priest:D She plays a mage as well:D And she rocks!!
I think that a Hrist post would be awesome! to be privi to the inner workings of his mind is truly an eye opener:D
For a moment there Bella I was worried, good to know you have not been “Tainted”
Is rage required to be a hate tank? I hope not.
I aspire to the ranks of Hirst tanking, but my tank has a blue bar, not a red one.
I think Hate is just being efficient.
I wish to know where Hrist fits in this chart.

I assume it will be one of the bottom three categories, but i am troubled as to where to fit him in.
The problem with tankspot, is that it is Forum-Oriented. Every kid with an opinion can state it as ABSOLUTE FACT when given a medium to say what they think;
‘Twins? WeCANNOT tank them on top of each other. You just can’t count on the DPS of our raid team to switch targets fast enough’
‘lol tank twins in toc on top of each other and you get more damage if you dont your a nub twins is easymode kthxbai’
The success of the WHU is because Frost has always had his posts as ‘This is relevant to today, this is my opinion, this is what I believe’. You have always provided examples, following with ‘This is the science I have tested with, feel free to do things your own way’
A Hrist-based tanking guide/site would be very geared to the types of people that read your blog, using this formula.
As long as you can talk him into it
Notable bias : My 2760 GS tank is a Warrior, RagingDaddy!
So Frost do you run PvP with ur uber PvE gear, or do u use a PvP set?
My hunter hit 80 yesterday and the best gear I have is the swiftarrow set. This is beginning PvP and is not doing my DPS any favors (although I hit 2.1k in heroic CoT which was my first heroic after hitting 80!).
My PvP strategy is to hang in the back and pick off the low HP or squishy targets — I never get tired of ciritcal Kill Shots
. Anyway, this strategy lends itself to not being hit much (until the mage I popped off three times in a row comes back for hunter revenge). I’m toying with running PvP with DPS PvE gear instead… just to maximize damage.
Was wondering if you do the same.
l8r!
Jim
You need resilence to pvp properly a geared resilence player will always take out a geared pve player with the same skill the resilence is what keeps your health and lowers crits and fear chances. No good being able to dish out the damage if you can not stay long enough alive all arena players use resilence gear and the vendor in wintergrasp has some ok stuff to get you started which you trade for shards i think ( boots , helm and chest ) . In pvp its more about staying alive which deals more damage overall and resilence is a must if your serious.
I would love to see a Hrist tanking blog.
A Hrist tanking blog would be great if it was of the same quality as yours. However, if he feels that Tankspot could do better than him don’t force him on something that he will not enjoy. Unless your TRYING to get his rage boiling 24/7.
Interesting note that annoying Horde Pally that you apparently owned in that BG seems to not exist anymore. Guess he changed his name in shame after that #$* kicking. lol
I think you must be spelling something wrong: http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?searchQuery=hateorade&searchType=all
There’s only one Horde Pally on there, and he’s only 18. maybe he switched his name, race, or faction?
Also, not only would a Frostheim-esque tank site be great, but oh what a wonderful, less noob filled world it would be if there were somehow such an in depth set of guides and info for every class. Hunter is one of my top favorite classes, mostly because of such a font of info and help such as this site provides. Warlocks, Death Knights, Druids, Warriors, Shamans, and Mages should be so luckey. (Did I forget Rogues, Pallys, and Preists? Hm, oh well. Lol.)
