There are things that you can do that would maximize your dps that would not be as good for the raid, as things that might not help you out as much, one example would be faction champs. In this case, you have multiple targets, but you should not just use multi shot, esp. if you have aimed shot. The big advantage there being that aimed cuts heals to that target in half, this helps out the raid more than a little bump to your personal dps. If you want to, where you can without possibly losing some of the raid utility or even hurting the raid, you can maximize your dps. However if there is something you can do that will help out the raid more than the just spewing dps all over the place, then you should do it.

Let me also point out one more thing Krip talked about, now that I have had a good nights sleep, knowing the fights. I may need to actually start to PVP >.< so I can bring up that portion of my game. I tend to strafe instead of mouse turn. I use a combination of mouse clicks and key binds for my shot "rotation" ("priority" fits best instead of rotation, but sounds weird in sentence structure). I guess I need to reevaluate my key-binds to eliminate my need for clicking, but I'm so set in my ways.
Also, got my second whisper in a week from fellow guild hunters asking "how is your DPS so high?" Happily, I directed them here. Only 1 guild hunter left to ask the inevitable question about what I'm doing. I dont like to interject my game play style over theirs. So, I wait until I'm asked what's up because they all do solid DPS regardless.
Now they'll know what I'm talking about when I refer to use as the Hunter's Union.

That was an awesome interview. One of the other really interesting things he talked about was dpsing multiple targets with serpent, arcane, and chimera. And I feel the need to inject a note of caution on this: while it's definitely going to increase dps, you can only do that if you're raid group has plenty of dps.
If you watch his Jaraxxus video you'll notice that he's not doing anything close to as much dps as he can on the adds. As long as his entire raid has plenty of dps this is fine -- preferable in fact since he's dpsing the boss as well as the add. But if you're struggling to get the adds down fast enough, pursuing this strat will make your raid less successful.
Just remember that you have to know what your raid is capable of and adjust your strat to fit the strengths and weaknesses of your raid.

Definitely always multi-shot if you have multiple targets.

One of the other really interesting things he talked about was dpsing multiple targets with serpent, arcane, and chimera. I didnt see in his new best dps video if he just used multi shot or if he switched between the two, but after listing to him I decided to add an alt conditional aimed/multi-shot and a mouse over serpent sting. I will try to get used to it and see if i can improve my dps any by using them. One more thing outDps where the podcast came from, gave the addon SexyCooldown as opposed to heat sink, for stacking cooldowns, and from what i have seen of it, it works pretty nice.

One thing that Krip talked about that I really picked up on was making sure at least serpent sting was up on the mobs you are attacking, and making sure that you were switching between aimed and multi-shot when for when a boss fight would favor one over the other. I thought it was really interesting what Krip had to say I will have to look at marcoing some of my cooldowns together and give it a try. So once your trinket procs ( approx 3 seconds in battle) you need to activate Ferocious howl, rapid, fire, any trinkets, kill command and your shot rotation is there anything I might be missing .

If your getting the error 9006 message then its apple and they need to fix it , i got the same thing last time. It would be intersting to see what Frost's dps would be against Krip's for the same gear or mine against Frost's to see how far off the mark I was. Combining Be-Imba and Wow meter online to give normalised dps vs gear Mmmm. But then we run into the problem of the Greatness trinket being right up there with ilvl232 trinkets distorting gear scores etc.
I suppose out dpsing the best geared dps in my guild was a comfort; but now that I have caught up where do I look to. Out dpsing hunters in pugs with Envoy of Mortality (when I have True Aim Long Rifle) or better is nice. Getting picked as 1 on the top three dps in a Pug after someone rage quit because your gear score was too low is nice too.
Guess I'll just have to see if I can reach or beat my theorhetical dps from the spreadsheets week in week out.

Looking at all the dps parses etc got me wondering what were their gear scores like?
