Hey guys, I’m going to be on the Hunting Party podcast again (and possibly regularly) with Euripides and Darkbrew.
At any rate, this is going to be a panel discussion — so please, if you have any questions or topics you’d like to hear us discuss, please post them in the comments here!
Note that we’re recording tonight, so if you have a question, or something you’d like to hear me ramble on about through the dark tint of the Frostheim goggles, now’s the time!
What about discussing the possibility of hunters getting a second role as viable Tanks? Not OT but MT for any boss out there. Let it be so that it can only be done as BM and give as a new rare tank pet with extra ordinary talents. Would be interesting to see if you can come up with an idea for new pet and new abilities for maintaining aggro.
Or you can have a disscussion on if it is to hard to upgrade your ranged weapon or if other classes has the same problem getting weapon uppgrades?
I would like you to discuss, and if possible confirm how well a hunter is in PvP versus other pure dps classes. I really wanna know before I start collecting the gear, since it takes some time to garther.
We haven’t seen the stats, on Shadowmourne yet, but seeing as it will prolly be a DK weapen, and to make it viable for tanks aswell, it’s prolly also gonna be Hunter stat stick aswell. Should they make it race locked (like the warglaives), or should we also get a shot at it. and if so should we still pursue it, if it’s only second BiS?. I would like to hear your ideas about this.
I would like you to discuss about BM hunters, about our exotic pets that are so hard to get but comparing to another pets, they r not so much better, and about how/if they gonna improve BM hunters so they can be a viable choice to lvl80.
Could you please touch up on the Steady Shot glyph being broken to MM hunters using 5/5 marked for death pls. I haven’t found a whole lot of info about it and would like to hear it discussed. =) Oh and would mind hitting the 4pc Tier 9 bonus, too? Thanx!
I’ve been a lurker for quite a while, but I had a question I would like you to touch. Could it be possible to discuss the viability of hunters gaining some form of stun lock ability for pvp? And, if not, what are the justifications for not giving us said ability? Whether it’s a form of sting, like wyvern sting followed up by a chim shot (I know it’s impossible with the current tree config), or some form of trap, but something that will even out the unbalanced playground that is called arena. Currently, all of our CC abilities can be easily broken (by damage) and some can be resisted.
I like that Orcha wants us to be able to tank everything. Maybe it’s just me, but if Blizzard explicitly stated that they wanted us to tank, I’d be a bit upset. It’s more fun to prove people wrong and do something your class isn’t necessarily designed for.
What would I like to hear? How about Frost’s Austrailian accent. Yeah, that will sate me. Hunter news be damned, silly accents ftw.
Ooo, I too would love to hear some input on whether or not the 4-piece T9 bonus (that gives an AP boost to pet) is worth breaking up the T8.5 2-piece bonus (that boosts the Serpent Sting.)

I’m too distracted by shiny things (Oh look! Candy buckets!) to do that maths on that one yet…
I would love to see discussion on the change to Focus and how you feel it will change the class for the better/Worse.
I for one am really looking forward to it since MM just sucks the mana down right now.
I wouldnt mind a talk about the scaling. For example ive just hit 80 on my hunter, and im at a horrible gear crossroads, due to having such mismatched gear from ilvl 200-245. has left me with confusion over spec/gemming
(possibly a new guide hint hint?)
How about you run a top 10 best/worst pets countdown. That sort of stuff seems to attract views for other stuff too.
I’d like to hear what you guys think might be soloable if and when avoidance stats transfer to pets in 3.3. With MC largely conquered, what’s the next big challenge for hunter soloing?
I’d like to hear about pets in 3.3 as well. With the new stat transfers to pets, do you have any expectations about how often Culling the Herd will be up?
Also, I think you and Euripides may have disagreed over Wild Hunt vs. Shark Attack. Which one should get the point freed up by losing Avoidance (assuming we get three spare points out of it and two go into Culling)?
Oh, I wasn’t thinking. I’m sure Wild Hunt and Shark Attack will still require 15 points just to get to, so the extra point can’t go to either of them. That being the case, where should the extra point go?
Im sure what every you discuss Frost will be interesting, facts, and just what a hunter should know ! keep it up buddy i will have to listen to the podcast, dont suppose if this is going to be a regular thing that it could have its own pod link or a sticky post were we can access it easily without having to leave the WHU site ? i hate having to go elsewhere for info i feel like a traitor lol .

Hey frost, I used to play MM all the way till wrath, and now went back(and I love it) but it does suck mana, I found in getting a spider I had it learn he ability that restors 30% mana, I’ve found that using a pet that does slightly less damage but avoids me going into viper has increased my over all dps
Maybe u can talk about the changes from mana to focus for expan and for the time being talk about mana regen via aspect, pet, or sting
