At heart, I am a raiding hunter. I make some time for extreme soloing, but I’ll never be a hardcore pvper. My best arena ranking was only around 1680, and while I like to hit the pvp from time to time for some funs, I do not think I’ll ever be qualified to write about hunter PVP.
However, I get enough email about pvp stuff that I feel bad being unable to answer it wisely, and to make the WHU truly a comprehensive hunter site, we need the PVP perspective.
So I’m sending the shout out to you guys — if you are a PVPing hunter and have any interest in writing for the WHU about it, send me an Email. Be sure to include a link to your armory profile, tell me a bit about your experience, and give me an example of the kinds of articles you’d write.
No one gets paid for the WHU, not even Arust and I, but your posts would be seen by thousands of hunters a day, and you’d be contributing to the hunter community. If that karma doesn’t get you true love, there’s at least a karmic cookie in it for you!
Dont forget the Science!
A PvP writer should be able to back up anything he claims by cold hard facts and math, just like Frost and Arust.

I have been reading through your blog and I am really pleased with how well the content is put together and the constant attention placed upon the community the site creates. The accuracy of the information presented in posts and guides leaves me feeling confident that I do not have to double check everything posted.
My suggestion for finding your new staff writer would be to head over to arena junkies or maybe even SK and put in your request. If you could manage to find someone who enjoys, practices and participates in BOTH world pvp/battlegrounds and arena that would be fantastic.
I know PvP isn’t for everyone, but for myself and others like me, this would be a great addition to WHU.

Good luck with this though. You’ve been steadily improving and expanding the WHU for some time now. The effort and scope are very commendable.
Contributions from a PvP-oriented hunter may just make this the best site EVER. Great idea, I’m looking forward to it.

God it would be nice to see something other than this stupid pet tanking stuff!!!! I gotta say – havent been excited at all to get on the site (though i still do everyday) with all this pet tanking / soloing stuff. I mean honestly – dont we all just have a pocket DK anyways?

This has already been the Best Hunter site but it looks like now it is also becoming a complete hunters site with everything you need to know and the facts to back it up.
Yes Please, I live for pvp, currently working on getting all healers and plate wearers to arena to learn them. Then get back on my hunter, because hunter pvp is just too fun. Nvm the stun lock w/e, we (hunters) have enough (or just under >.-) defensive cooldowns to live thru, more so with healer support. Please Please Please find a pvp writer with quality on par with the current WHU writers.
I’m willing to write about my experiences as a pure PVPer. I find PVP information most usefull when it’s told from actual experiences not just “if you do this, this will happen”. Usually I get the most from “I was in a BG and decided to give X and Y a try and holy crap it was sweet.”
