A bit ago I posted about what kinds of new guides you guys would like to see, now that we have most of the basics out of the way. I’ve been tossing up an extreme soloing guide here and there as I get around to it, and still plan on getting around to addons one of these days.
However, I also got an email from long time WHU Dues Payer Arthemystia, who has been pet tanking heroics, offering to do a series of guides on that aspect of the hunter world. I’ve done a bit of pet tanking here and there, but in all honesty my play group is not really interested in filling out pet tank groups – after all, we have Hrist, the hate tank. And no pet can dish out that level of hatred, not even a Crocolisk with a Bad Attitude.
So Arth and I have gone back and forth in email for a couple weeks discussing pet tanking and pet tanking guides, and I’m thrilled to be taking him up on his offer! As always, the guides are carefully reviewed and tweaked by me, but Arth knows his stuff and I think his guides are just the thing for aspiring hunter pet tanks (and yes, it is very, very different from what you need for extreme soloing).
So please give Arthemystia a warm welcome!
I’ve always had threat problems when pet tanking in groups. It’s always been enough to get by, but I’d be very interested to see if I can improve this at all.
Hope the guides help, Zat. We have quite a few planned. The fact that we aren’t designed to tank at this level means that threat will always be somewhat of an issue, but it’s far from impossible. I’ve found my pet’s stamina to be more of a long-term issue, tbh.
Also, thanks for the intro Frost. Hopefully WHU posters don’t start a mutiny.

please Frost … let us look at the best gear for Pet-tanking what is the best point to looking for ?
only Stam or is T7,5 good enough for tanking only heroics ?
