The short answer is that you use steady shot to regen focus.

Apparently there is no “one shot” everybody uses. I must be watching hunters using careful choice of shots.

I swear it looks like they’re firing the same shot over and over while they wait for focus.

I am stuck still. Asking people reading, watching….what’s sad is I’ve had my hunter since 2006. Mind you I’ve only played about 1 year over that whole time combined but still….failure!!

Hi everybody could someone please tell me what shots hunters are firing constantly in all of the videos I watch?

What I mean is, I’m a MM, but I’ve played all 3 specs and I watch video after video of hunters soloing places, and they’re constantly firing these huge shots and whenever I try to mimic that I run out of focus?

I’ve read about rotation I’ve watched closely on videos (i can’t even tell what shots are being fired there is so much going on and the action bars just fly fast).

I can’t use Aimed of Steady they take too long. (even with AoF)
Arcane shot seems to be the only shot that I can fire relatively fast but that wipes my focus out after 2 shots?

I find myself with all of these targets to shoot and I’m stuck waiting for focus regen.
In that time I’m loading the Steady Shot up but that takes too long plus I can’t move while doing it unless I use AoF.

Please could somebody help me. I’m lvl 85 ilvl339 MM and I’m frustrated.

I’ve just rolled a hunter and got to level 56 today. I managed to take over a boss fight when our tank suddenly left.

I’ve been playing a druid for the last year and it’s never been as fun as my hunter. Thanks for the great resources on hunters and soloing.

I’m having the hardest time griding rep for the Bloodsail faction. I have the recommended spec, pet spec, and 2pc of T5 gear, but those booty bay bruisers still kill my turtle and then me in record time. Any suggestions??

I spent most of my WoW life as a Raid Tank but drama recently drove me into a period of quiet time for my own peace of mind. I thought this would be a great time to roll my first Hunter and Holy smoke I should have rolled one years ago!

I jammed my guy to 70 then started soloing Steamvaults to grind Rep for the arcanum…what a blast! I pugged while leveling and doing mad lowbie dps in groups was okay (yawn) but taking down instances at or near my own level solo Rocks!

Now I realize I missed out so like others I’m going to roll another Hunter so I can tackle each instance along the way and enjoy the old world experience again. I think having an old Tank’s perspective made this an easy and enjoyable transition for me. Thanks for all your work over the years!

Any recommendation on macros? Got the gear collected, now I’m working on gems and enchants. Looking for any additional awesomesauce to make this as laid back as possible.

I wanted to know what level you can think of starting extreme soloing? I am doing it with a dwarf 80 but now I want to try to go more extreme and try for instance VC with a lvl 19-22 hunter.
