I’ve been raiding a lot lately: 10 man Ulduar, 10 man Naxx. 25 man Ulduar, 25 man Naxx. But amid various other news and musings, I haven’t been posting about it, something made apparent when I checked through my screenshots folder to discover a stack of unused screenshots.
So here they are, a roundup of Hrist hate and other adventures in the raids of Northrend:

I'm beginning to learn not to assume people know things - especially newer players that didn't have to put up with the trials of us oldtimers. I should make a video guide about this.

After many, many wipes on Iron Council, was nice to see a string of hunters up on top.
Hmm... no idea, other than it was clearly a full raid's worth of damage. Damn warlocks, with their aoes and eating babies.
I’m always surprised at the amount of text that makes it into your raid chat. Do you guys not have a vent, or just type a lot anyway? Ours is mostly to spam ‘your mom’ jokes before boss fights when our raid leader is explaining a fight to anyone who is new to it.
Nope, we don’t use vent. Every time I bring it up, half the raid has compelling reasons why they couldn’t ever use it.

Ha, always at the top of the damage charts, I see. Is this just an innocent display of adventures in Northrend, or is it an inconspicuous nudge to remind us why you’re the boss? XD

The newbies just dont get it these days. Blizzard should revamp the MC Leaf quest, then all these new hunters will know what pain really is. “lets have hunters kill 4 elites, that can one shot them, WITHOUT the use of their pets!” Thanks Blizz, for scarring me for life.
It was a hard knock life for us back in the day.
Typically at least once a week I post about my misadventures in raids, usually include the always delightful commentary of Hrist the hateful tank. I also always include the overall dps meter of the fight, and sometimes a boss fight meter that is particularly interesting. These are just a handful from the raids that I never got around to posting.
So you could say my damage is good, or you could say that everyone I raid with is bad, but I think it’s valuable with all the wealth of guides that I post that I point out that I do know what I’m talking about from time to time

I cant believe that you dont run vent it is so much easy to talk to people while raiding especially if you cant type to well plus it leaves my hands free to do other things like drink my pint of bourbon while dpsing the bosses lol.
Well, clearly you are not a guild with a bunch of Aussies – their sexy accents would be far too distracting to us poor Yanks.
I’m still trying to work out how you do so much dps. I am using your spec builds and am running ulduar, but have never got anywhere near 5k. Are you just spamming volley to get those numbers or doing the shot rotations you have said in your posts? Am trying your MM spec atm.
The 5k is from a boss fight, and I’m pretty sure it’s Patchwerk. I’ve done better, but it’s a decent average. Over a long enough time period, with raid buffs and food and flask, that is a totally attainable dps on a single target boss fight, using all the talent builds, glyph, enchant, and gem selections listed on this site!
Yeah, it takes some time piece together the various aspects of maximizing dps. But that’s what we’re capable of when you’re doing everything right, and is why hunters rule!
I’ve only sniffed 5K once in a 10M when I got a lucky crit streak, and I’m usually around 4500, but have gotten there a couple times in 25′s. It actually seems to be a fight that I do worse as an MM, which I’m currently spec’d, but it’s also very attainable with mostly 213 gear or better.
Ohhh 10 mans. My bad, I’ve been running 25 ulduar and wondering why I am not getting the same stats. I feel better now thanks!
