Arust and I decided to see if it was possible for the two of us to duo Violet Hold normal last weekend. Me with the BM tank spec, and Arust as MM providing the dps needed to keep up with the timed instance.
The trash was easy – I could heal the pet for more damage than it took, and with Arust there our dps easily kept pace with the portals. We got very unlucky with the bosses, landing Xevozz – who has to be kited a bit by the tank – and Ichoron with his elemental adds, knockback, and general aoe damage.
In the end, neither they nor Cyanigosa were enough to deal with two member of the WHU!

I had a theory once that a 5-hunter rotational-tank system could get through some heroics. That’s much (much) harder to pull off though, and might fail anyway.
I’ve also run VH with a buddy not too long ago, but it was a healer buddy, so it was easier than this would be. Good job, and cool music.

Just a note, if you want to make Ichoron trivial, use the Prison Defense system each time he explodes. Timed right, it’ll activate precisely as the adds spawn, kill them all, and force him to reform. Do that twice more, and you can just shoot him with a pea shooter at the end to take him down.
It doesn’t show the awesomeness of the hunter dps, but it’s a hell of a lot easier =)

yeh ichoron is the easiest of the lot. there’s not even any real time needed to activate the switches, just hit it as soon as she pops her bubble

For those of you who don’t use the Amercian measurement system, that’s -34C – 37.8C. Of course then you add in the 100% humidity NON STOP THROUGH THE SUMMER.
Yea…if there is one things I don’t miss about MN it’s the bi-polar temperature disorder. It gets much hotter and for much longer in TX but at least it’s a DRY heat.

My guildies are currently putting together a 5-man Pally VS. Druid race thru UK, and I want to play along. Think a group of Hunters who know there stuff (and have some bad ass tenacity pets in the stable, of course) could compete?
I would lol if the hunters could beat those teams. However you’d be hard pressed to beat either from the constant need to drink…although perhaps you could do some kind of hopping scheme of 2 teams of 2 and 1 hunter as backup and all 5 on bosses. Would be interesting to say the least…you make me want to finish leveling my hunter
what about soloing ahune for midsummer on normal? can anyone do that? ive been trying but its me that dies, my pet is relatively fine. its the small adds goofy aggro table that screws me over.
