10 man raid night.
We went in to finish off Naxx and go for Kel’Thuzad with 8 people, to complete our achievement. Started on 4H, with a lovely takedown involving one-shotting each boss without any swapping back and forth. Moved on to Sapphiron where Arust died, which was hilarious. Arust blamed haxx, but I think maybe Hrist is the culprit, as this screenshot suggests:

Then finally to KT, where we dropped a couple people to do it 8-man.
That proved a bit challenging… with only 2 healers, we couldn’t quite keep on top of the Frost Tombs. I mean, we knew that in theory 2 healers was plenty, and Hrist and I made some suggestions to the healers about various ways to improve the strategy — mostly along the lines of “When I’m in the #@! Frost Tomb heal me!” but that didn’t seem to help.
We tried swapping out various dpsers, going under the theory that the healers must not like some of the people in the party, so we were feeling around trying to find someone they were willing to heal. After a while it seemed clear that the healers hated us all, and we determined that for our low dps slot, we really needed heroism – even though I tried to explain to Hrist that Heroism doesn’t help me all that much, so who cares.
Hrist was clear about what we wanted the raider for:

Finally, at Hrist’s suggestion, we brought in a third healer and Hrist swapped out, leaving our bear tank to handle KT and the two adds. It worked out beautifully (though Arust died to a guardian, which was hilarious) and we finally got this:

It’s a thing of beauty.
PS: Note I still don’t care about achievements, damnit!

Grats on tricking Hrist into leaving for the achievement!
Now he will have infinite rage forever.
Pfft, it was my suggestion. I got it last weekend!
i imagine your selflessness knows no bounds, hrist
