I checked many forums/blogs for survi 3.1 macros. I tried many, but i did low dps. Now i was reading Frost's post about macros and i will try w/o macros and i will try 5-6 new i found today. Im not using any T7,5, just naxx25 epix. In my guild we are 3 hunters in about same quality gear, but im just the 2nd dps in Ulduar25. 1st hunter do 4,7k, im doin just 4,4k. I checked recount and we doing same amount of ES, auto and SS but he doing a bit more dmg in each... He has 3/5 T7,5 but worst stats than me. I dunno how could he do better dps than me. I guess he has no macro... I was reading about LnL ES spam and i will try not spam it :) My rota: (SrS alway on, BA on cd) ES, SS, SS, Multi (kill shot when avaible) - rise and repeat. Im using 1/14/56

Hi!

I checked many forums/blogs for survi 3.1 macros. I tried many, but i did low dps. 3% extra dmg + the BA 6% extra dmg = 9% extra dmg in total.
If u take a hunter with 1500 agi, the 3% more agi is worth 45 agi.
Ofc its scales in raid but it still isnt alot. Atm i have 2% and full NS, and my ES ticks for way over 6k in raids.
And tbh, why cant u use both? Using this spec myself:
http://eu.wowarmory.com/talent-calc.xml?cid=3&tal=000000000000000000000000000053051010000000000000000005000032500033330532135301321
with this u have all the godly goodness thats SV <3
Also to the OP: Aimes is better then Mutli since its a instant spell, fights where u need 2 move = win. Not saying Multis is worse in dmg, just that Aimed can be used in more situations.

To the ppl saying that Nox Stings isnt worth taking:

3% extra dmg + the BA 6% extra dmg = 9% extra dmg in total.<br

my tests do not show that aimed shot increased every attack for 400 "dmg" for 10 seconds. seems to me that plus 400 dmg on all ranged attacks for 10 seconds would have a large impact, especially cuz it says 400 ranged DAMAGE, not just attack power.
if it truly is just "plus", then it has horrible wording.

aimed shot is worded more like hunters mark (increasing) than, say, kill shot (plus). however, it seems to me the effect is more like kill shot than hunters mark.

my tests do not show that aimed shot increased every attack for 400 “dmg” for 10 seconds. seems to me that plus 400 dmg on all ranged attacks for 10 seconds would have a large impact, especially cuz it says 400 ranged DAMAGE, not just attack power.

if it truly is just “plus”, then it has horrible wording.

By: Gsus

<guid

Its not about the reduce healing, its about the increased ranged attack power on the target. Just hold your mouse on Aimed shot in game and you can read it, its not on the debuff.
Bout Nox Stings, 3% isn't alot alltough 3% of 2.000.000=60.000. I don't think this is alot. 3% agility gives so much more. Combined with greatness, which is the best SS trinket. Crit and attack power. I'd say this is the way to go.
Oh, and about the pet at razorflank. Before the fight started i simply put my pet on stay where no other raid member should come near. The blue fire will be fired at the pet, but its better then its fired at a raid member. So if the pet died i simply done heart of the phoenix when 2nd phase started.

At Noxious Stings you might be true, but still the aimed shot bit. This is my initial dps spec thus far although i may tweak it a bit depending on further testing. My reasoning on why i specced the way i did for 3.1 is as follows:
3/3 Noxious Stings = 3% extra dmg on all shots
3/3 Resourcefullness = 6 second off black arrow cool down
3/3 Careful Aim = 350-500 bonus atk pwr based on ur intellect
2/3 Expose weakness = With decent crit will always be up.
1/2 Go for the Throat = If you crit enough this will keep ur pet spamming special abilities.
0/3 Focused Aim = If hit capped you can maximize ur DPS by putting these 3 pts elsewhere
2/3 Hunting party = would like 3/3 but enough mana regen is given with 2/3 and the 1% agility loss by not taking 3/3 approximates to a loss of 15-20 agility (15-20 atk pwr and minimal crit %) if u are somewhere around 1500 agility unbuffed or 2000 agility raid buffed and frees up a point to place in Aspect of the Hawk because with Hawk Glyph ur sitting at 9% increased speed when it does proc. which i figure to be more dps overall. Please feel free to comment if u disagree.
0/1 Aimed shot = absolutely does NOT buff dmg done and you can utilize the talent point else where by just using Multi.
As far as pets go, i previously used a cat or a raptor pre 3.1 but have switched to wolf post 3.1 due to the change they made to furious howl. It now stacks with all other attack power buffs and is up for 1/3 of every minute spent attacking. Lasts 20 seconds with a cool down of 40 seconds (i believe)
Oh btw, who counts DPS on trash? AoE will top the meters on most large trash pulls. (remembers volley pre nerf and sighs or even warlock seed if corruption currently) DPS comparisons should only be made on boss fights and most boss fights happen to be single target encounters and you wouldnt use volley on bosses now would you? (praying u say no)
Hope you guys find this helpful

Hey fellas, with regards to Survival Hunters speccing for max dps with hit capped gear check out my main Alphius on Smolderthorn. If you were getting lower dps on your cat (and they were both max level) be sure to check your pet's spellbook and make sure your attacks are all on autocast. They periodically turn off when summoning, entering instance, logging on, rezzing pet, etc.

Yes, I played with a worm for a while. I am using a disembodied jormungar and it would seem my dps, as BM, jumped up almost 1k dps from my cat. This was with using the Thunderstomp ability that it now has. Our guild ran EoE last night and I was putting out a little over 2300 dps and that was with using a spammable shot macro I found on WoWwiki. I kind of figured pets would change but the difference before the patch and seems to be more than I thought it would.

I have a question for you as far as pets go.
