Pet
- Thunderstomp (Gorilla) has been removed as a pet skill and replaced by Pummel – Pummel the target, interrupting spellcasting and preventing any spell in that school from being cast for 4 sec. (20 Focus, 5 yd range, Instant, 10 sec cooldown)
- Thunderstomp is now a pet talent available to any Tenacity pet. Now your bears, crocs or ESPECIALLY CRABS can join in the AE tanking fun.
- Savage Rend (Raptor) now temporarily boost the raptor’s damage by 10% for 30 seconds.
- Furious Howl (Wolf) now only affects the wolf and its master, duration increased from 10 to 20 seconds.
Maybe I’ll go to Darkshore and get Crabs… or Darnassus. It was just that free love festival.
Anyways, now I’m going back to Wowhead to look at all the new pets and mounts. Which should hopefully put me at the 100 / 75 mark for both. 
Can you explain the crab thing for AE? I’ve never had one and thought that Pin was a single target ability.
It was a “joke” by Ghostcrawler. His/her (I can never remember) avatar is a crab.
lets get a wolf
Blizzard must look at your posts because they always seem to punish you Frost. When you guys started talking up the advantages of the wolf because of the howl… BAM! they screw you over.
Seriously, the wolf seems like a huge nurf because it doesnt help the raid. I remember that howl being up almost all the time with the raid so the increase in time doesnt mean much.
Raptor seems interesting. wonder how this effects their overall dps?
the Wolf is great for our 10-mans, because we have no dps warrior. In 25-mans, or any group with a dps warrior, the wolf’s special doesn’t get used because the Warrior’s shout overwrites it (they don’t stack).
The Raptor buff looks huge to me. So much so that if they leave it (and the other dps pets) I think Raptor will become the only choice for dps pet for non-BM hunters. *sigh*
yea but with the new changes, the wolf will now only affect the pet and the hunter. wonder if they changed it so the warrior shout doesnt overwrite it then… hmm… Still not sure if it would be worth it.
Yes, the Wolf howl now *stacks* with the warrior or pally AP buffs. However, I’m not convinced how competetive the wolf will be, especially with the cooldown change. And especially with the badass raptor change.
Most of our 10 mans have a ret pally though, which gives us BoM, You might get something else, but it doesn’t help the rest of us nearly as much as you might think.
The deal with crab tanks:
a) Its a joke, cuz as pointed out Ghostcrawler is a crab.
b) everything tenacity will be able to AoE tank now because of thunderstop going to a talent (and no longer being a pet ability).
