There are two main differences between the 25 and the 10 man raids, I’ve found. On the 25 man, we have a larger percentage of well geared or over geared folks along. And on the 25 man the big thing I’ve learned is how easy it is to carry undergeared folk. Not so the 10-man.

Talasien knows that an angry Hrist tanks better, so he tries to help out the group by provoking Hrist when he logs on.
We had a slightly different mix than last week on our 10-man, bringing along a few new peeps with IMBA ratings below 300. I was excited to redeem ourselves after last weeks sad performance.
It was messy.

Talasien's plan is working.
We had a bunch of wipes due to sheer stupidity. I caused one of these when my pet went after the wrong target and I didn’t catch the pet in time (tank had switched targets before the pull — and I did too, but apparently my pet remembered the last one. This was not the only time my pet would bug that night).
Then we had a bunch of wipes due to just learning the fight — all the people new to Sartharion had to learn about the lava and the gaps. Then we had wipes because of gear problems. Then I think we started wiping just because it was habit.

After a really rough time downing Sartharion, I ask Hrist whether he thinks this group can handle Naxx.
90g in repair bills later (and I FD’d out of a lot of wipes — Hrist was probably running 200g) we took down Sartharion and called it after several wipes on Noth, of all the wussy bosses.
So I think we’re gonna take the Christmas break to lick our wounds, try to get our buddies geared up, and maybe set an official minimum gear level for attendance. Then next week…. next week will be a very different raid, I predict.

I ran 50ish, myself, which I feel is a good indicator that my gear isn’t up to my needs yet. There were also a few folks working with new specs and new roles (if not a relatively new class, as well).
But yeah, in addition to legitimate learning, there was a lot of “B” game going on… if not “C” game for some of us.
Oh, and you don’t need to edit my name out of screenies. I’m willing to admit when I need to learn things!
